“Learning the Right Way To Live” is a song about grappling with the line between self-improvement and self-acceptance. It’s about being your own worst critic and navigating a way through it. Is there a “right” way to live? No, not really. The song's tender voice and humor-tinged “breakdown” are intended to bring a healing softness to themes of confusion, sadness, guilt and innocence.
